College of Charleston Aikido Club

Prospective students are encouraged to stop by and watch class. If you have any questions while watching, one of the instructors will be available to answer those questions for you. As a new student you will learn how to properly fall and tumble, proper dojo etiquette, and the basics of aikido technique. If you want to join you do not have to have a Gi in order to practice with us, you just need any type of loose pants. If after a couple classes you decided to join than the dues are $20 a semester + $35 which goes to Suenaka Sensei. If you are interested in purchasing a Gi you can talk to Shihan Chad about getting one from the Hombu dojo for $65.
